So you agree with me now? 1000 fps^2 deceleration is not large. Minimum deceleration is about 200.
I cannot remember the formula, had to be checked.
And processed the data sheet:
(However, yard had to be converted to foot.)
It isn’t about your paper.
Right. I was not aware. (My father had only air rifle.)
Blockquote
I have no idea how we got here, but here we are:
I actually wrote about this recently. Quick version: the administrative lattice from 1913 to today is only the visible layer. Underneath runs a longer reduction—Church monopoly swapped for liberator monopoly, then bureaucratized, then digitized. The book follows the hand-off: entropy dumped into culture, loss sold as safety, the clinic and census finishing what the income tax started, until the algorithm locks the door.
I’ve posted it at Academia.edu for anyone to read for free: (PDF) The Architecture of Constraint - Civilization, Memory, and the Machine Mind
So have you read my article? I’m happy to respond to any questions or criticisms.
Are you interested in debunking a conspiracy theory about the Trump assassination attempt in Butler?
I haven’t looked into that one. Are there many videorecordings available? I was only able to find the one from the press pool.
Yes, I studied your paper. But I’m not familiar with matlab code. I know only 12 programming languages and simply cannot learn more - exhausted.
Additionally, decades ago I had a parameter fitting problem with energy spectra. That matlab didn’t converge, so I wrote my own code. Multivariable Newton-Raphson (and due to that had been mentionad as co-author).
But my point is, that the nonlinear solver might fail. That was my experience.
- f1 = fsolve(tstart);
Did you check that?
look at this: https://raw.barf.bz/
Sure, but you don’t have to be able write code in a language in order to read it.
Also, I didn’t use anything advanced, so it will probably run under the freeware Octave.
Surely you don’t mean that you reject any work done in a computer language you don’t happen to be familiar with?
Sure. I checked that the signs change at the ends of the interval.
If the solver fails, it produces an error, it doesn’t fail silently.
“fsolve” is not the solver, it’s the function I apply the solver to. In Matlab, one of the numerical solvers is “fzero”, which is what I used.

Thanks, I’ll check it out. But I see 7 directories, none of which say “Butler”.
Are Butler conspiracy theories about the number of rifles and/or where they were located? My code could analyze that.
If they’re just about who was behind the plot, I can’t help.
I posted this in the Trump-shooting thread, but nobody replied.
Tucker Carlson has a new video on Thomas Crooks.
He had online presence & the FBI had to know about it.
Of course I don’t reject it.
You’ve done well, and I cannot do better.
Great.
However, my intuition says that you underestimate the distance with constant deceleration. Probably you should increase the radii, but I don’t know how much.
But, when there are more constrains than degree of freedom, you might be able to figure it out. Hudreds years ago philosophers used an awkward term of truth, science nowadays use another concept: invariant.
It is all about Butler. Directories belong to contributors.
Scientists use elaborate theorems. In contrast I prefer elementary math. So once I wrote my solver to fit energy spectra.
Nonlinear solution is not straight forward. There might be local minima (not going down to zero) and a flat function might give you false results due to data uncertainty.
On one hand, linear regression has a closed formula. But the nonlinear one is also a minimization problem, which might decrease the complexity of the problem. On other hand you can consider it as multidimensional Newton-Raphson method.
Yes, there are ambiguities. But including allegedly muffled shots.
Please come to that topic:
Additionally there is a weird echo problem. Thus I tried to use some Huygens-Fresnel simulation. Please find my draft document on that problem. More additionally, I have a problem on raster grid - tessellation. (So I started working on the echo problem when the Kirk shooting interrupted me. I should be back to that.)
I did, here:
Not sure what you mean by “distance” and “radii”.
I did not make any definite assumption of the deceleration, I tried many values between 200 and 2000 to see which fit best.
That’s what I’m hoping I did.
I think if one set of parameter values fits the data significantly better than any other, it becomes the prima facie leading theory.
This video should be quite conclusive for you.
It’s more than 2 hours long.
Here is a short summary of it by The Quartering, This video is 14 minutes long.
Got it. You calculated some “effective” speed.
With respect… how is this in any way conclusive?
I guess it may be somewhat helpful if you trust him. We do get another perspective, maybe even a good one. Not helpful at all in providing clarifying evidence. I am not opining on his trustworthiness… but in this world where we are lied to and misdirected every day, it will take a little more actual data and evidence to be conclusive, not more “trust me bro” and I say that with zero disrespect to this individual.
Usually I think of “effective” in this context as meaning “fictive but good for practical purposes”, kind of like "effective annual interest.
But maybe you just mean “successful at meeting the data”?
Sure, it is difficult to trust anyone these days. I still am of the belief that Tyler Robinson was the sole shooter in this particular assassination. I posted that video because I trust the source and I was compelled by the first hand testimony. I didn’t watch the complete 2 hour+ video, only the summary and snippits from the Quartering.
I hope that this will go to trial quickly and the results will be conclusive. I believe that there is extensive evidence from Tyler and from the State including medical reports, autopsy, witness accounts and more that has not been released yet but will be used in the trial.
I’m hopeful that the FBI and the State Police in Utah have done good work and will build a conclusive case. I think this is the best outcome. Anything else will be absolutely terrible.
I’ll all for the discussion here and the different theories, multiple shooters etc. I want to find out the truth. I hope it will be revealed in time.
I am not sure in the discussion here if the following cartridge was ever discussed as the potential projectile that was used. We only know that they recovered a Mauser Model 98 chambered in .30-06 Springfield, originally belonging to Robinson’s grandfather. This was a rifle manufactured in the 1930s or 1940s and was an antique originally owned by the grandfather.
This a 30-06 cartridge with a 22 sabot projectile. It was produced until the just after 2000. REMINGTON'S PAST MYSTERY CARTRIDGES: THE .22 ACCELERATORS - The Classic Woodsman
Here is an image of this cartidge,
I know almost nothing about ballistics and ammunition. I wonder how this cartridge would have compared to the cartidge used in this Peak Prosperity presentation.
The police and FBI has not given the specific details about the cartridge used as far as I am aware other than the cartridge was 30-06.
Unlikely, but we’ll go on…(sorry to cherry pick). Tyler is probably complicit in some way though. I’m still baffled how a seemingly good guy from a good family got caught up with some furry faggot boyfriend, and then developed extreme rage against Charlie? Baffled. The world is full of beautiful women!
Awesome! I hope so too, but I’m also like Sgt. Schultz: “I know nothingk”
Yup, that’s what we all want. I’m to the point where it didn’t matter what Charlie’s religion nor POV was. It’s wrong to target someone who simply doesn’t agree with you. Downright EVIL for so many to dance on his grave. WTF? Where does this kind of hatred come from?
That’s what the media, Utah County Sheriff, UVU police (useless), City of Provo Police, Staties and the FBI have given us.
Yup, again. I still have a few of these left from the 80s: Remington Accelerator, a sabot for my 30-30 (no doubt produced for other calibers as well). They go right through prairie dogs, but can tumble as well. Quick, fast suckers, you just have to use the Hoppes to clean out the plastic from your barrel. And this would be analyzed by the ballistics crime lab, you’d think?
Chris stated he reloads. Perhaps he could purchase some sabot bullets (still available), and show the results?
This “sabot” load is faster (higher velocity, higher fps) than a “typical” 150gr or 180gr 30.06 used for elk. I thought about a sabot round as well, but it was dismissed in earlier “Charlie Kirk” videos/discussions Chris published. Go ahead and take a look!? Why, I’m not totally sure? But while you’re on the straight an narrow course of following what little the media and police have provided us, the policia also showed some 30.06 rounds supposedly found in the magazine of grandpa’s 30.06 (non detachable magazine in most hunting rifles). They appeared to be full-size (non sabot) rounds with crazy ass writing on them. Have you seen those?
I appreciate Chris going out and confronting this head on, blasting chunks of meat, and it was cool and informative, but I didn’t need it. IMO, there is NO WAY a full size 30.06 elk hunting round would deflect down into Charlie’s body. I don’t think a 30.06 sabot (~.223 or .224) would do anything, but fly out the back of his neck and leave a mist of red behind it. Granted the smaller rounds can and do tumble. Perhaps a 5.7x28mm? They tumble too and while they can be used at medium distances, they lose effective range beyond about 100m.
There is still something rotten in Denmark about this whole Kirk ordeal, so who knows how it will turn out? I have other issues (as others discussed prior), where’s the gun going up the stairs? No security on the rooftops, and the video of Tyler (supposedly) running across the roof, his jump (with what maybe, could be a rifle) and j-walking across a busy local road isn’t all that convincing to me.
