I like your observations. I would note that one of the points Paul repeatedly makes in the New Testament is actually that those promises “find their yes and amen in Jesus!” (2 Cor 1:20) In other words, what is promised to Israel is actually fulfilled in its Messiah. And now, in Jesus, there is no Jew or Gentile! (see Eph 2:11-18 about the wall being torn down)
I agree evangelicals misunderstand this… Two tweets of mine from today:
LOL after suffering a traumatic brain injury 3 yrs ago, I can’t watch the Signal Hour intro. My eye/brain connection was damaged and certain stuff messes me up. I just look away, I’m used to it.
Brain injuries happen for lots of reasons: head trauma, ischemic strokes, ruptured aneurisms, and … vaccines. Those poor vaccine injured people who perhaps would benefit from watching certain signal hours, might be repulsed by the intro just like you. Maybe Chris needs to make the intro a little less flashy and “event” filled so they can make it through.
There was no “nation state” of Israel when the Bible was being written down. “Israel” referred to a tribe of people.
It would be like saying “Mennonites” today. Not a place, but a group of people who ascribe to a set of beliefs. If the Mennonites develop a powerful nation state, they’ll probably begin doing nasty things too.
[As an aside, isn’t it curious that the Amish and Mennonites are (a) people with curious and different habits from those in the countries they inhabit, (b) keep to themselves, and (c) have their own strict religious beliefs and yet (d) they somehow manage to remain at peace with every culture they interact with. Maybe there’s a lesson in there somewhere?]
Conflating support for anything a modern nation state can dream up, with support for an amalgamation of people who hew to a particular set of religious beliefs, makes zero sense to me, and nobody has been able to parse it out in a way that does.
As I read the OT, many, many warnings were sent and sometimes delivered.
True, but that 10 second video looks AI generated. Perhaps it’s based on a real scene. Ukraine IS certainly doomed but I could have said that in February 2022.
Chris is no longer doing a part 2 of Signal Hour for subscribers, but instead has gone back to doing Scouting Reports on Friday for Subscribers. We were experimenting with a change up in format for a few weeks. We received a lot of feedback that many were missing the Scouting Reports on Friday, so to strike a balance, The Signal Hour is public only on Wednesday and then Chris is producing Scouting Reports typically in 2 parts on Friday.
As an alternative train of thought… is is possible this is intentional to save face from a losing cause? Is the action against Iran impeccably timed to provide a way out of the unwinnable quagmire that is Ukraine? And also a way to exit NATO?
Although I still do think Ukraine is a giant money laundering machine, so ending that “war” would put a crimp in that. However, it is not hard to see the switch to the ME for laundering & plunder. After all, all those expended munitions & blown up infrastructure will need to be replaced. So same MO, different location?
Nick, could you outline what is public and private on the site? Sounds like the Signal Hour is public, 1 scouting report is private, and Thursday discussion with Kiker is private?, and the Fat Pipe is what?
Thanks!
Sure. Here is the typical weekly release:
The Fat Pipe: Private
Signal Hour: Public
Finance U: Public
Scouting Report: Private (sometimes with pubic part 1)
Market Update: Private
Well, it wasn’t written down on a Thursday. It was written over almost 2000 years by 40 authors, most of whom never met.
But it started out a people, yes. Then it was made a nation, not by those people but by God. He said in Genesis 12:2 that He would make them into a great nation and over time detailed the conditions required of them for keeping the nation He created. Good stuff if they did what He told THEM to do, Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and shit sandwiches if they didn’t, Deuteronomy 28:15-68. They chose a whole lot of “didn’t” most of the time.
He did it for a few reasons with easy to find conditions that were ignored time after time. One of the reasons He did it was to “be a light for the Gentiles” in Isaiah 42:6. Over the few thousand years, that happened about once with one king. Most of the books after Joshua are accounts of big failures in fulfilling the conditions. It’s going to happen I believe but by God when Israel breaks the code. Jeremiah 29:12-14 didn’t include genocide in Gaza in the code.
It has already happened. His name is Jesus. He is the blessing to the entire world. He is the one over all the nations. He inherits the entire earth (Ps 2, Mt. 28:19-20). He is the one who fulfills all the promises (2 Co. 1:20). He is the one who reunites the split between Jew and Gentile (Eph 2:12-18).
Sorry, no. Israel has not been restored as a nation as promised in Ezekiel. Hasn’t happened. Jesus came per prophecy, lived, died, was resurrected but Israel missed it. Stephens death is one of the clues. The church is NOT Israel.
