A lot of things can be characterized, but they also may change with circumstances.
For example, you may recognize the pianist, or even the conductor of the orchestra; the person who uses a typewriter from time delays of key clicks. (But I can tell you counter examples, when a device was used incorrectly and thet changes the characterization.)
Aha, RATF = Record(ed) After the Fact. Thank you for posting for the first time to share that!
That means Lt. Pearson had the capability to record and post bodycam footage from all of the Butler Township police wearing a camera, but he chose not to. It was not because the officer didn’t turn his camera on. That’s a horse of a different color!
It also means the gaps between videos 0 and 1 for a given officer were intentionally omitted. Not having the table of times in front of me, those could be restroom breaks, meals, or something else personal.
Fantastic, thank you, and welcome! I assumed an acronym of some kind, and had even come across the same feature while looking into the Axon cams (I had Axon in my sights originally as that’s what PSP uses), and hadn’t yet connected those dots.
This is quite an intriguing-colored horse! And obviously the RATF doesn’t mean it doesn’t record audio either, as we’ve got audio on Collins’ RATF file. So I don’t exactly understand why we have two cam files with no audio, unless that’s a redaction, but the files are not identified as redacted as other files are. One would think we would have at least audio and video back to the same point in time, and yet we don’t. Odd.
Also, @vegaspatriot , here is a little cleaner version of my previous filename breakdown with Sasse’s file updated to reflect his ID. Does this work for what you were intending to use it for, or is there anything else you think should be included? Perhaps an explanation of RATF and other modifiers (though ‘redacted’ is pretty self-explanatory, and WA is the only other one that needs explanation)?
Otherwise maybe you mean Kuss as he was also over there (kinda, at least in the vicinity), but at the time you’re asking he was already up by the AGR buildings:
I’m hoping to finish my revised “Timeline Analysis - ESU Vehicles & Response” later today. (Hype: I’m going a lot deeper into the various ESU response efforts, AGR and Rally side, providing IDs for operators in key scenes.)
Ah damn you have to hype it up like that!!@?! I’ve thought of using our ID’s to track across the multiple scenes and timeframes, I am certainly looking forward to this release!!
Do yourself a favor, see what I came up with first. Getting an ID for operators at each scene was perhaps the most challenging aspect of analyzing the response efforts I’ve run across yet. Some were easy, but others were very difficult, having to track them over time using multiple videos. I spent days on some.
Talk about “The Devil’s in the Details,” here is starting point for one ID path:
I think this is him too, on the left. I’m sure you’ve probably already come to that conclusion as well. In identifying participants I’ve gone over these bwc videos repeatedly, though I do still constantly come across things I hadn’t noticed.
Similarly, @steel-magnolia mentioned an officer on X previously, and I’ve traced him back to the CAT/QRF response, but am not quite sure of an ID:
As I show in the top-right, he has a patch on the back of his helmet which I haven’t seen before, and looks eerily similar to the Butler Farm Show sign near the front of AGR:
We - and congress - have been explicitly told that no recordings were kept of Secret Service radio communications.
The FBI and the Secret Service should come under more friendly leadership in less than a month, so if there were recordings, they should come to light fairly quickly. Clay Higgins has publicly promised to stay on the case like a pit bull, and I imagine President Elect Trump isn’t quite as sanguine about the affair as he seems to be on the surface.
If I remember right, when Acting Director Rowe was questioned in Congress a couple of weeks ago. He was questioned before being sworn in for about an hour, then was sworn in, then was questioned for a half hour or so. I’ll have to go back and look at what he said under oath.
Many, many requests have simply not been responded to, but some may be actionable.
I’ll also check to see if Kimberly Cheater was sworn in before saying “I’ll have to refer you to the FBI” and similar things repeatedly back in July.
Lastly, every few days I do a web search: “Trump Secret Service pick”, and find there is nothing yet. It was over a month ago that Dan Bongino went to the UFC 309 championship match. He almost certainly was interviewed about taking a leading position at the Secret Service. Later he put out a X post saying he’d prefer to stay in the private sphere. Of course a lot of people say things like that before taking public posts. I wonder why this pick is being delayed.
He doesn’t appear to still be affiliated with Middlesex, but at least potentially with Mars Borough. And an interesting note about the BuC ESU appears. Also, another Fleming, Mike, unsure of a relation to Kory, but I assume it possible.
