This 5 second .mp3 file contains a gunshot at the 2 second mark, and a louder gunshot at the 4 second mark, and that shot sounds more like a kid stomping on a water balloon.

That’s too early. it starts at the 40 second mark, frame 7 (Laughery is aiming too low to see him before this frame). Frame 23 is about the last where one can sort of see the sling (that’s what I think it is), but he follows through until his arm is all the way down.

I’m writing letters to senators and congressmen who have a history of being interested.
I ended the letters I have written so far with the question: Why would Crooks take the time to sling a balloon toward police that are looking for him, possibly pinpointing his location, instead of proceeding to the top of the roof to start shooting?
And the answer occurred to me while writing - he’s trying to distract their attention from the real shooter, perhaps trying to pull Collins away from the front face of the AGR building.

The “7” reference I made here is to the first frame being frame 7 of the 40 second mark.
I believe the projectile shows up in seven frames of Collin’s video, but that’s a different matter.

When I tried to do the echo (sound propagation) simulation, I faced a problem very first. Intensity decreases with distance. Let’s say 1/r.
