The rail impact was 1/4 second earlier, and the bullet was going 45° offcourse, from Northeast to Southwest, and impact from any Northern arc was blocked by the body of a large man in a dark blue T Shirt, and red hat.

I don’t know that I would quite say that he’s been “pulled into a plot” - yet. He’s saying some seriously stupid lies in claiming that Crooks acted alone, and he’s certainly been doing a lot of stonewalling.

Well, I’m confused.
One possible parallel I’m thinking MIGHT be similar was when Senator Harry Truman was poking around wondering what the hell a lot of money was going into during WW2. At least as was depicted in the movie “Truman”, someone high up (I don’t remember who, and I think it was fictionalized anyway) pulled him aside and told him to drop it. He was told to drop it and not given any details whatsoever, and given that it was wartime, trusted there was a good reason.
Upon becoming president he found out it was the program to build the atomic bomb.
Alternatively, the most common theory for why Earl Warren got pulled into the Warren commission coverup was that if Oswald’s link to the Soviet Union were exposed, it could start WW3. So the “lone nutter” narrative was foisted on the Warren commission to preserve world peace.
But I’m just a person who wants to know what happened, and I sympathize with the Comperatore family, David Dutch, James Copenhaver and all the rallygoers that will have PTSD for the rest of their lives.
