So It's Back To First Principles (Part 2)

Post 1574 was my reply to greg_n.
Was the Fox video, 11 or 12 seconds total, I think, from a vertically held phone recording?

It certainly seems to have been portrait mode.

In 22.09 seconds, 660 frames, of NW view, from ‘We gotta get’ to ‘the world will see a vibe…’, James Copenhaver begins aiming black phone North, and vertically, steadily, with both hands, then removes left hand, and seems to be holding the phone horizontally as Trump says ’ you get ready’.
James’ head is also tilted down at that point, and also seems aimed more Northwest, rather than North.
Could he have been checking the recording, preparing to switch the phone off?

I hadn’t seen that reddit post post before - it was interesting.

I checked out the comments in the movie “Who shot Trump?”. Mr. Houston’s comments don’t seem well informed. He didn’t know the model of the telehandler even though it was clearly marked in the picture in movie.

I would trust the opinions in the Reddit thread more.

I declare you to be the winner in these discussions by default.

I f***ed up and only bought one stock before the close today. I’ve still got something like $70K sitting fallow, those stocks are going up 2 to 10% every freaking day, and word is that they will explode once they declare their quarterly earnings. A miner that is just breaking even when silver is $40 makes how much money when silver is $100? A lot - close to the number of ounces mined times $60.

So I’m “cheating” by looking at the holdings for the SILJ fund and trying to pick stocks that look appropriate from that list.

I overextended myself BIGTIME in 2008 and 2011 (undiagnosed bipolar) and got burned. I’ve been way the hell too conservative this time, but it’s become clear the shorts are getting squeezed, the longs have strong hands, there is a structural deficit in silver, everybody’s fiat is going in the toilet, blah, blah, blah, stuff I was saying 20 years ago, but which now is really true. WHEEEEEEE.

Gee, I kind of sound like Dave, except nobody comes breaking down your door if you just say you’re on a stock buying binge… God, I hope he lives.

My copy of Fox’s ‘copenhaver’ video:

  1. ends with word ‘party’
  2. portrait view, cropped&enlarged to show landscape
  3. has newly found concerns

12.01 seconds of SonjaX6’s 9 minute video
contained 361 frames, 1080x1920 pixels.
The video below is
180 frames, 6 seconds, that seem to show James Copenhaver’s arms going down halfway through those 6 seconds:

A 6 second video makes it look possible that James Copenhaver might have quickly stopped recording immediately after the word ‘party’.

Clipping the 11 second video after the word ‘party’ would mask cheating, if video from a different phone was used.
Why was the Fox video was only 11 second duration, and did a trajectory far from Crooks help?.
A line on SonjaX6’s site map

from between Agr6 roof vents 1 and 2, from West, to the podium, to south bleachers, still doesn’t aim to Copenhaver’s position.

93 frames, 3.09 seconds, as Trump says ‘get ready McCormick’, were enlarged and slowed, to help see if FlowerShirtLady or others with a more believable angle to Trump, could be seen recording.
James Copenhaver holds his phone with his head tilted down.
FlowerShirtLady holds a black phone, with her right hand on top, and left hand below.
David Dutch seems to be recording during part of these 3.09 seconds.

I have a new suspect for the owner of the phone, that made the video shown by Fox August 2024:

Well, Dave Stewart has been arrested, which is the best outcome anyone could have reasonably expected, given what he posted on X.

Poor guy’s stress load just tipped beyond what he could take. He was really frustrated that the investigation has shut down.

He’s never had any ill will towards President Trump. I think he was just saying crazier and crazier things, almost hoping for “suicide by cop”.

A bunch of us were trying to talk him down, but it didn’t work, and I don’t know if he has any good friends or supportive family that are local.

I think SunGlassLady recorded the 11 second video shown by Fox.
Her phone is ~1.5 meters west of Copenhaver’s phone, and her phone starts to tilt up, and slightly east, as Trump asks, ‘can we bring him up here?’
Later, as Trump says, ‘not since Ronald Reagan’, SunGlassLady and FlowerShirtLady both have turned away from Trump, and towards David Dutch.
It’s possible those 3 and Copenhaver all shared/swapped videos later.

Sorry for Dave.

After a stress situation people usually need help from specualists. That did not take place. So he got more and more angry.
We were able to see, how a Trump supporter became extremist.
I wanted to warn him that he is on the radar - both sides. And the other side most probably would contact him.

Can you tell me some details?

One detail is that Tucker Carlson, 1 year ago, never mentioned the victim shot twice, even though Tucker’s guest, Sean Davis said, “and then a burst of 5, and the 5, like, all went way up high…one of them hit a hydraulic line…” after which, Davis describes the local officer shooting ‘Crooks’(and it wasn’t Crooks), and a 15 second delay, until (the real) Crooks got shot.
Tucker could have asked, ‘so which 2 shots hit Copenhaver?’ But Tucker didn’t ask, though he sure knows Copenhaver got shot twice.
Tucker is powerful enough to have interviewed Putin, and powerful enough to mislead his audience, and to obstruct justice.
(note: Davis’s ‘15 second delay’ between Zaliponi and Kings’ shots was only 10 seconds)…and there was a long range shot in the 1/3 second before King’s shot

This 6.6 seconds matches Trump’s speech words from ‘great great gentleman’ to ‘alright, you get’.
Copenhaver’s phone seems steadily aimed, while SunglassLady’s phone seems to angle east and to tilt upward.
I think the reason her phone moved, was because her eyes were arm’s length from her phone, allowing her to see motion on the rooftop north of her.
Copenhaver seemed focused on Trump, probably not seeing the rooftop north of himself.

I’m just speculating. I don’t know what else would cause the administration and congress to let the FBI get away with producing no report, and why President Trump would say he’s satisfied.

Eric Trump has publicly said he thinks there was a conspiracy to kill his father, and he’s not happy things have been sidelined with no report. Melania Trump famously made video stating she was not happy with the lack of progress.

There was a video I saw on X last night with an interesting hypothesis. He said the assassination attempt may have been linked to Ukraine, and Mr. Trump is holding it over Ukraine as leverage.

I’m inclined to think the leverage goes the other way. I think somebody is blackmailing or threatening someone important to Mr. Trump, or vital to American interests.

I wouldn’t say he’s an extremist other than being really angry at some local and state police.

I think he was saying all that stuff about the Secret Service and President Trump just to make sure somebody would react.

I have already started a therapy with Dave on YT to control his frustration. However it would take time, even for a professional. But I’m only an educated layman.

I got lethal threats 3 times in my life.

  • When I was 7, we went to the fishing pond with clasmate, Suddenly a young kid picked up a knife and said “knife or your life” (obviously wanted to say “money or your life”). The knife was real, we rushed away. Maybe that experience gave me some vaccination effect.

  • Second time it was in the conscript army. A lieutenant told us to water the grass in front of command building. But he didn’t inform the guard prior to that. So I faced an AMD, ready to shot about 20 rounds in the magazine. I can hear click-click as the guard loaded the first round.

  • Third time a billionaire told me to be shark food.

  • (Explanation: when key features cannot be achieved, no sense to polish the others. The team lead wanted to keep his job as long as he can, despite the inevitable imminent failure. He kept insignificant problems on the stage and always reported that I was not doing my job. However, a customer sent out 2 technicans to investigate. They believed the boss was right and tried everything to prove my fault. I was fully transparent. After 3 months they have given up. Then I said, now we should test what I proposed at the first day. Then the team lead received a lethal threat.)

  • So, I did not rush to the police. I went to buy a big inflatable rubber shark, a swimming toy. And I placed it over my work desk. It was an encoded message.

Dave is harmless, per se. But there is a risk that real felons contact him.
I wish we knew about his real problem earlier.
Well, people often say: why don’t you do this, why didn’t you do that. The short answer: circumstances (boundary conditions). I cannot blame Dave, he didn’t know to contact and trust us.

Primum munus iustitiae est, ut ne cui quis noceat. (Cicero)

“The primary duty of justice is to do no harm to others.”
When people add something like
“those who have not harmed others”
they are usually explaining or extending Cicero’s idea, not translating it literally.

Cicero himself is saying:

  • Justice begins with non-maleficence: don’t injure others.
  • Only after that can justice move on to positive duties.
In De Officiis, Cicero goes on to say that justice also involves:
  • helping others,
  • protecting the innocent,
  • giving each person what is due to them (suum cuique tribuere).

So your summary idea

“we should protect who needs and deserves protection”
That’s philosophically consistent with Cicero, but it’s a second step, not the first one.

An emergency word.

In Columbo – How to Dial a Murder, that opening explanation is basically about using a small mental ritual to interrupt an emotional reflex. It looks trivial from the outside, but internally it changes everything. That’s exactly the same principle you’re describing with your secret emergency word.
Here’s why your trick works better than “just count to 3,” even though they look identical on paper:

1. Counting is mechanical; a word is symbolic

Counting to 3 is a technique. Your brain knows it’s a generic self-control hack.
A secret word is a symbol. It carries meaning, intention, and ownership. Emotionally, symbols hit much harder than procedures.

2. The word creates a state change, not just a pause

When you use your emergency word, you’re not merely delaying a response — you’re switching modes:

  • from reactive → observer
  • from emotional → deliberate

That tiny moment of “this is my word” pulls you out of the situation and back into yourself.

3. It gives you agency instead of restraint

Counting feels like holding yourself back.
The word feels like choosing a response.

That difference matters a lot when anger is involved — restraint feels like pressure, choice feels like control.

4. It externalizes the stupidity :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Let’s be honest: when people around you are being unbearably stupid, anger spikes because it feels invasive.
The emergency word acts like a mental boundary:

“This is happening out there. I’m still in here.”

That separation alone lowers emotional intensity.

5. Ritual beats logic when emotions are hot

When emotions are high, the rational brain is half offline.
Rituals — words, gestures, habits — bypass logic and go straight to the nervous system. That’s why your word works emotionally, not just technically.

So yeah — technically it’s the same as counting to 3.
Psychologically, it’s a completely different beast.
