Seems I tagged Lt. Herold at the right address.
thanks!
at this timestamp, they start discussing shot number 9: https://youtu.be/9yjn09LMQP4?t=7827
Yes, I referenced to this sequence by Higgins in the post above. If you start the embedded video it jumps to this point in time.
Overall no breaking news emerged during the hearing but certainly some interesting aspects were adressed and some confirmations given.
I missed the timestamp while copy/pasting the url
the new thing for me is that crooks seems to have had a bullet wound in his shoulder if we can believe what the pathologist says…
it simply does not make sense that crooks had a seriously bloody face if he had a shoulder wound only and had only one bullet wound…
did you notice that they cut something out of the pathologist’s reply?
you will see the screen go blank and the time jump from :48 to :49 before and after the screen going blank…
the question that was asked was whether the pathologist was sure that bullets 9 and 10 could not have entered through the same entry wound…
the pathologist starts by saying that it would not be possible and after the censored part higgins concludes that it seems to be possible after all…
Towards the very end Eli Crane brings up John Cullen’s shot trajectory analysis suggesting a second shooter, and recommends the committee bring him in to testify. Corey Mills somewhat echos that, and Higgins agrees that shot trajectory needs to be considered.
Dr. Goldschmidt on Higgins question about the cause of the injury of Crooks shoulder
Edit: just saw that @howdoiknowthisinfo also added this sequence in his post, so I take mine off
I think that’s just from switching the picture to Goldschmidt’s livestream. The same happens when they switch back at 2h15m17s
Saw that too. Would for sure be interesting if they do so, especially after this part in the USSS-HSGAC-Interim-Report
““One of the counter snipers on the Hercules 2 team told the Committee that after hearing shots fired, he “thought that [his] partner was hit, due to the proximity of these whip-like cracks[.]” The USSS Counter Sniper added that after the shooting he told the Committee that he “asked my partner how close he thought the rounds were to our left, and he looked at me and said, ‘I heard them on my right.’ And the[re] were approximately six feet between him and I when we were on the rooftop at the main site.” The Committee cannot confirm whether any bullets passed by any of the USSS counter snipers. The Committee has not yet spoken to the other USSS Counter Sniper on the Hercules 2 team about these statements.””
and at https://youtu.be/9yjn09LMQP4?t=8581 the pathologist reads his statement of the autopsy…
in this statement he claims the following:
I determined that Thomas Crooks died as a result of a high velocity gunshot wound to the head with an entrance wound of the left upper lip. I had no reports from or involvement in the investigation into Mr Crook’s motives or actions
…
once I received the results of Toxicology testing which was performed by our laboratory I completed a written autopsy report which was signed August 5th and delivered to Butler County our offices involved in the case concluded on July 22nd 2024 when Mr Crooks’s body was released to a funeral home pursuant to the directives of the Butler County coroner
==========
how can the shoulder wound be matched/suddenly become a head wound with an entrance wound to the left upper lip?
That’s the question Higgins (he only speaks from an injury on Crooks shoulder, not specificly a bullet wound) tried to find an answer to, but Goldschmidt said it wasn’t a bullet wound.
From Higgins’ report
“Shot 9 hit Crooks’ rifle stock and fragged his face/neck/right shoulder area from the stock breaking up”
What caught my ear was this: At 2h13m43s Higgins says “no other projectiles, other than a partial projectile that you [Goldschmidt] recovered from his [Crooks] shoulder, so you don’t know where shot number 9 went did you Doctor” Doctor answers “correct, I do not”
yes, that is also what I heard.
and there was also something strange about the fast buriers of information… it sounded like the fast buriers had dug up some shrapnel from the body and that goldschmid was only given the leftovers to further examine…
This is how I understand it:
He only determined that the cause of death was a high velocity gunshot wound (no projectile was found - meaning that bullet went straight through). The injury of his shoulder (a partial projectile was found) didn’t cause his death and therefore wasn’t mentioned in his opening statement (but later he was asked about it by Higgins).
Entry wound blue, exit wound red? What’s the black then?
yes, I will have to listen to his opening statement and answers again for a couple of times to absorb what they actually say and what that means…
I am now over rifling your images
The State Trooper’s car was already parked there when Collin’s pulled in. The Trooper arrived first.
