So It's Back To First Principles

Why Nicol was spotting Crooks out of a northwest facing window.
From the WP Police Radio Transmission Protocol

At 6:02 p.m., the same local sniper who first radioed in the message about the range finder was on the second floor of the building owned by Agr International. From a northwest window, facing away from the rally site, he glimpsed the suspect again just as Trump was preparing to take the podium.
“All right, subject is in between the AGR building. He has a backpack,” said Sgt. Greg Nicol, a Beaver County sniper. Nicol had been assigned to look out over the rally site from a window on the opposite side of the building, but he had moved to look for the suspect, according to Young, Nicol’s commander.

Most likely from the blue one, but also possible the red one.

“The tactical result of an engagement forms the base for new strategic decisions because victory or defeat in a battle changes the situation to such a degree that no human acumen is able to see beyond the first battle. In this sense one should understand Napoleon’s saying: “I have never had a plan of operations.” Therefore, no plan of operations extends with any certainty beyond the first contact with the main hostile force. Only the layman thinks that he can see in the course of the campaign the consequent execution of an original idea with all details thought out in advance and adhered to until the very end.” Helmuth von Moltke

They should change the phrase and say: use whatever vehicle is the most suitable in the given situation.

Gotcha, yeah that makes sense. Are we then to assume though that no other members from Butler Township or their vehicles had cameras? That doesn’t sit quite right with me. Sasse is wearing one:

Pretty sure Tedeski’s got one attached to his breast pocket though I haven’t gotten a good shot of it yet.

Honestly from what I can tell, it seems more of the norm to have the cam, than it being an exception to the norm. Then dashcams, it does not seem reasonable or even possible that there was only these dashcam footages from Butler Township.

From what I can find, PSP has been working on rolling out bodycams since '23, though I cannot tell yet how far that process has come along.

There is also a video about it here:

I know I’ve seen the full video of this press conference with Paris somewhere, just can’t quite re-find it yet.

Also, at the very least, Trooper Graham was definitely wearing one:

again nicely put together, I think you’re getting closer and closer :+1:

since you’re the mock-up expert, it would be great if you could find a way to complete his arm and replace the rifle with a transparent version. I add a few pictures that might help.

Maybe that’s what he went training so often in the Clairton Sportsmens Club?

Since he isn’t the same like the one we have for Setnar in the BWC2-122110 pic, who is he then?
To me he somehow looks very close to the police uniform Setnar pic.

Could BWC2-122110 be Sneddon instead?

Chris Kopas also was wearing one

and since he sometimes put his hand in front of it (ie when talking to Collins on the roof about him being pissed), I must assume this camera was recording.

Interesting how common covering your body worn camera is…

I’m still uncertain here. As a quick comparison, I think we potentially placed Setnar as the third in the field, furthest to the right in this shot by Dave Stewart, and possibly as the origin of the 9th shot. Both of these individuals seem to not quite match this guy to me.

@redranamber

So it appears that Pearson was selective on which body cam videos he released, or maybe, and less likely, those were just the ones he could obtain in time to respond to Judicial Watch’s FOIA request. The others might have been on duty or something. I have no knowledge of how bodycams are handled or how the data is retrieved. Does the video stay in the camera until downloaded, or is it captured real time remotely?

Either way, everyone involved appears to be selective of what evidence they release, worst of all the FBI, but even the Congressional committees and task force. And I don’t buy the “matter of national security” excuse, either. Granted, some protocols used by the USSS shouldn’t be released, but still, we’re being spoon fed evidence.

How is it again that we know Zaliponi took shot 9? I should have saved that on his ID page but didn’t.

I’m going to keep looking for the PSP video about the bwcs, if I remember correctly, it was stated that they would operate in a way that they upload to a cloud server and not stay on just that cam until removed. Will report with findings.

Also, @sorey, I think this shot of Kopas covering something may in fact be him covering the speaker mic to his radio, which sometimes is necessary to hear others around you if there is radio chatter. I also believe, especially considering in Gianvito’s footage it appears to be a helmet mounted cam, that BeC bwcs may all be helmet mounted. And then also, I would imagine WRSWAT also have bwcs. Edit: And I’m confusing myself again, Kopas was not BeC but BuC… ugh… Distinctly though it is very well still a possibility for Kopas to have a helmet mounted cam imo.

(I apologize if this has already been covered, I may have missed it, not sure) Speaking of WR, is this our Tom McCarthy?

And is this our Pat Short?

AFAIK, we really don’t know who took that shot, though big multicam guy on the right in Dave Stewart’s filming seemed to be the one that raised his hand in the Pearson footage indicating shooter hit, as it appears that the other two on the left of the screen move off to the side. I thought it was Setnar. Maybe it’s Zaliponi. I’m really unclear on that at this point. And that’s not to say either that the shot didn’t come from another member and his hand raise was just to confirm the hit.

I found the source. It was Rep. Higgins.

"The Butler County SWAT operator who shot at would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks and effectively ended his assault on the July 13 Donald Trump rally in Western Pennsylvania has been identified as Sgt. Aaron M. Zaliponi of the Adams Township Police Department.

The revelation was made in Washington, D.C., by U.S. Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) during [the first hearing](Task Force to hold hearing on Butler, Pa. Trump assassination attempt  | Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump) of the House Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump."

Cams should only be allowed on the top of their heads, then they at least look funny when covering it

In my view there’s only Sneddon and Setnar from the QRF team that are kind of in question for me. So if you just compare him to the cop pictures we have for Sneddon and Setnar, what would you say?

Same for the other guy

also note that Sneddon has a Tattoo

If you have FB maybe you can check if there’s a better pic of his Tattoo
so it can be compared with the one the other guy has

Shot 9 was taken by Zaliponi, confirmed by Clay Higgins.

To me it would make sense these videos go more or less straight into a cloud or something alike. Otherwise a criminal could just punch the officer down and steal/trash his camera without there being any proof of what happened.

I woulld definitely say Setnar due to the thinner, longer face.

Pretty sure you’re right here, this puts Sneddon as our kneepads guy. Nice catch on the tat!

And I agree with @VegasPatriot, the other one does resemble Setnar more in the face.

Is a good point, I think it depends from organisation to organisation what type of camera they’re using.

I’d say so. Same plug in the left ear, left arm Tattoo look the same. Between then and now probably extended his right arm Tattoo with a heart on his hand.
