The Real Constitutional Crisis

Originally published at: https://peakprosperity.com/the-signal-hour-at-1pm-et-today/

In this episode of the Signal Hour, we’ve delved into some critical issues affecting our society and democracy.

We first touched on the ongoing investigations into the origins of the coronavirus, where I’ve been vocal about its lab-engineered features, despite facing significant pushback from the scientific community. This resistance, often cloaked in appeals to authority, has only highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in science.

A significant portion of our discussion was dedicated to the judicial and electoral systems. We’re witnessing a troubling trend where judges are issuing nationwide injunctions without statutory basis, effectively legislating from the bench. This was exemplified by Judge Boesberg’s actions, which seem politically motivated, especially against the Trump administration.

The conversation also covered the recent Supreme Court decision to overturn the Chevron deference, which previously allowed federal agencies to interpret laws in ways that often expanded their power. This ruling could potentially curb the overreach of these agencies, but the real test will be in its application.

On the topic of elections, we highlighted the absurdity of not requiring voter ID in the U.S., a practice that’s standard worldwide. The resistance to voter ID laws, despite public support, suggests an underlying agenda to manipulate electoral outcomes. We also discussed the vulnerabilities in electronic voting systems, which are not only insecure but also unverifiable, posing a direct threat to the integrity of our elections.
Lastly, we talked about the need for accountability. The lack of arrests or consequences for those involved in various scandals, from election irregularities to the mishandling of the Epstein case, undermines public trust and the rule of law.

In summary, we’re navigating through a time where the structures meant to uphold democracy are being tested. The fight for truth, transparency, and justice continues, and it’s crucial that we remain vigilant and engaged. Remember, the endgame is near, and understanding these dynamics is key to preparing for what’s next. Thank you for joining us, and we’ll continue this conversation in our next episode.

No voter ID in Australia (yet), for either federal or state elections. Electronic voting is available but optional. I always vote on paper.

No complaints about the integrity of the process either. The Australian Electoral Commission (q.v.) has an excellent reputation.

Federal elections are running now. I await with morbid curiosity to see which of the two major dinosaur parties will get its turn at keeping us on the highway to hell.

Cynical? Who’s cynical?

The world’s leading expert on psychopathy is Robert D. Hare who wrote
[

Without Conscience: The Disturbing World of the Psychopaths

](Amazon.com)"

It has been a few years since I read it, but I believe he identified that about 2% of the US population were true psychopaths. And an even larger percentage have traits in that spectrum. In that context, Peterson’s statement rings very accurate. Hare went on to write
[

Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths Go to Work

](Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths Go to Work: Babiak, Paul, Hare, Robert D.: 8601404254055: Amazon.com: Books)

exposing how elites are even more likely to be psychopaths since their strategies can be effective in cut-throat and amoral companies and institutions.

Perhaps there is a broader context I am missing, but I see nothing wrong with Peterson’s statement. He is not broad brush applying psychopathy to religion or those who disagree with him. The suggestion that Peterson “has a price” to make the statement, seems ridiculous.

Umm, @ezlxq1949 during the last federal selection I voted for one Damian Richardson for the Senate. I checked the records on the AEC website for the polling station I used to see how many Primary Votes he’d received. It was a big fat Zero. Were did my Vote go? AEC integrity is a perception.

Thank you for your takedown of Jordan Peterson and by association Douglas Murray.
I admired Murray’s debate with Matt Taibi in the Munk Debates regarding the MSM. I felt bad for Jordan and his mandatory re-education program.
Unfortunately, they have join the Sam Harris fatuous self-indulgent lunacy club.
Anyone who supports or tries to weasel a justification for the genocide in Palestine is an amoral scumbag. Just go on X and view any untold images of maimed and massacred woman and children.
I literally cry whenever I see them.

JP lost his mind since the benzos and Benny Shekelpiro started hollowing him out.

As for the federal judges, simply ignore them or legislature needs to can them.

As for the Trump admin I won’t take them seriously until I see perp walks. So what they got a couple judges and low level bureaucrats…and revoked some security clearances

Your calling out US terrorist attacks in Yemen didn’t go unnoticed. Disturbing stuff.

In defence of J Pederson, I thought he was saying scoundrels wrap themselves (in any) flags of convenience. I didn’t catch him saying who is the greatest scoundrel

@MechEng69 “Were did my Vote go? AEC integrity is a perception.”

Not good. Did you ever follow up, “Hey, where did my vote go?”

One can assess this in two diametrically-opposed ways: (1) on the one hand, because there’s an error rate associated with everything we do, some error caused this vote to be overlookrd; (2) on the other, it was a deliberate omission.

Who knows. On balance I still trust the AEC.

Exactly my take as well. Peterson simply said that there were dark tetrad people on the left and the right and especially in any place where power is concentrated, from government to religious organizations. He was absolutely not targeting Christianity and his reference to those who say Christ is King was specifically about religious people who pretend to lead a God-centered life but in reality worship only themselves. For Cernovitch to twist that into implying that Peterson is against Christianity or the right is a despicable lie.

Dr. Peterson’s net worth is above 10 million so he’s not searching under the sofa cushions for suffcient change to buy a donut. I find the allegation that he has sold out quite disturbing and distasteful: to make allegations against a good man without data or proof bothers me greatly.

I appreciate Chris for his global knowledge - I wouldn’t have any idea how to tell that a virologist is lying to me about full versus partial spike protein inclusions in a vaccine sample even if I was staring right at the paper. So it’s very easy for him to tell us when they are lying or at least full of it. Now, I do know philosophy and theology. And I have read Jordan Peterson’s Maps Of Meaning - his seminal work. It is complete garbage - utterly wrong and in many ways backwards. He is not a high quality think - he is, instead a man of high verbal intelligence who ‘dazzles with bullshit.’. Take the actual text if anything he speaks, read it back and see if you don’t have a different opinion from when he spoke it in words.

I urge everyone to take a deep look at JP. He hasn’t fallen off the wagon - he’s always been a charlatan (at least since 1999) and his Imposter Syndrome caught up with him long ago.

When I read about what Michael Crichton (a real quality thinker) said in coining the ‘Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect’ I’ve looked critically at everything that people claiming to have an expertise is something I don’t and found many, many to be either wanting or outright lying. This helped me spot the COVID scam a mile away and made Chris a daily read/listen for me since 2010. He’s the real deal. Bless you, Chris for being one honest man in a sea of lies.

There were plenty of complaints last time. The people who took the ballots home with them in their car, for instance.

Unfortunately, there was not even an indication of corruption. It was all incompetence AFAICT. Rank incompetence. I’m also quite unhappy about the early ballots being locked away in a room protected only by a fancy but mass-produced sticker - and no guards. I’m also concerned that the best way to hide malfeasance is in a sea of incompetence.

Where do you think a college professor got ‘over 10 million dollars?’. He overtly took payment from the Daily Wire (likely a USAID cutout) in 2022, to shill their particular brand of baloney. He made more money with that single deal than all his book sales combined.

I archived the primary vote for the One Nation candidate at my area going down a couple of votes over time. Unfortunately, that was probably also incompetence - there was the election night indicative count and the real count over time.

I don’t agree. JP is a boomer, and his information diet has always been poor. Unfortunately, with him working for The Daily Wire, his information diet has been modified to match Ben Shapiro. As such, he knuckled under for the jabs and was extremely supportive when interviewing Robert Kagan (Nuland’s husband). It’s like Sabine Hossenfelder on climate change - too out of depth to smell the BS and operating with Gell-Mann Amnesia.

On the other hand, with the history JP has more clue, and still won’t go there. He understands it’s reputational suicide. Remember this one?

In a quick search I found copies of the book at archive.org. I noticed immediately that much of the first volume is missing and parts of the second.

I then went back to search results and found this:

The center warns that an officially English translation is not published yet and that many floating versions as well as those in print on Amazon are incomplete as well as being loosely translated. That paragraphs might be missing from seemingly present chapters is a red flag for me.

I don’t have the info set needed to determine if this organization is a trusted authority, however missing chapters and paragraphs speak for themselves so I thought I would share the data point.

Oh dear, am I living in a bubble of some sort? I’ll be watching for complaints arising from the AEC’s behaviour in this election!

Bear in mind that the Presiding Officer in charge of a polling place on Election Day in Western Australia is not, as far as I know, allowed to let the ballot papers get out of their sight. Hence they have to put them in their car and take them home the night before the election, and then they have to take them somewhere (Processing Centre?) on the night of the election after the initial count at the Polling Centre.

The election night count is more likely to have mistakes made as the people doing it are invariably tired from working all day.
I did scrutineering for the recent WA state election for the Upper House, and it was surprising how many were put into the wrong pile at the Polling Place. Every polling booth’s papers were checked by 2 totally different teams of people. Still a very small chance of human error creeping in, but it appeared to be very minimal from my observations.
Given the candidate who finished 38th, and therefore missed out on being elected, was approximately 1400 votes behind the 37th candidate, I think it’s unlikely that the rare mistakes affected the result.

They select 37 people from one pool in the WA senate? The most I’m aware of is 6 from each of the federal senate elections, or 12 if a double dissolution.
