The Canadian truckers are a fringe minority! They do not represent the views of the vast majority. Their messages are unacceptable.This is what politicians and the MSM repeat ad-nauseam. Spinning... We see videos of "fringe minority" sheering the truckers along the roads and highways. After one week of "massive problems, massive pain caused to the good citizens" caused by this fringe minority, one would expect some counter-demonstrations. I didn't see any of those. The MSM did not show any. I am sure if they were (at least ONE), they would spin it wall to wall. None. So, "fringe minority"? Really? Fringe minority... spread over 6000Km coast-to coast. There is also a convoy that left many parts of the Quebec province converging to Quebec city. The first ones to arrive are expected for today. To follow... JM

I am quite positive that this statement by JT made a lot of people come out to the convoy and support them. That probably boosted the attendance quite a bit because it became personal for a lot of people.

So you’re telling me that 3 Canuks inspired thousands of like-minded truckers to do the Freedom Convoy? Are there not 3 inspiring Canadian Patriots near Ottawa that could, in conjunction with the truckers’ protest, gather a few thousand on foot to occupy the Canadian gov’t house? Breaking news GFM has apparently ended payments to Freedom Convoy truckers citing violence and harassment. They have only released 1 million of the 9 million fund. Probably some trucker opened their cab door and some nitwit walked into it claiming violence and harassment. Now a 9.8 million lawsuit has been filed against the convoy organizers for honking their horns excessively.
We need to demand our donations back and find an alternate means of donating. I will never use GFM ever again.

I’ll step aside Jan. I love Canada and Canadians (perhaps more than the States where I reside), and don’t want to jeopardize your efforts nor others. Never having resided in Canada, I’ve spent a number of months up there over the years.
My points are perhaps more subtle: I really believe most Internet users have NO IDEA what’s going on behind the scenes. Instead of the Information Superhighway, it’s really the Information Surveillance Highway for TPTB. Perhaps I should setup a few classes?
Even if you have a SSL/TLS (read: secure) connection to an internet site, you’re still being surveilled, categorized, tracked, sliced and diced into various profiles (depending upon the Surveillance Capitalist hooks on the site) AND SOLD to the State & other vendors. Your communications ARE NOT private, unless you encrypt the payload. (period)
I block a number of Surveillance Capitalist “hooks” ON THIS SITE. Hopefully the new site will use local-to-the-server analytics instead of using 3rd party f$%^ers.

Donate a $1 to any campaign, and then dispute it with your credit card company (“I don’t recognize this charge”), so that a chargeback is issued.
Worst case, after a lot of administrative effort on GFM’s side, the $1 charge will stand.
Best case, you get your $1 back, but it will cost them $25 in charge back fees, plus a lot of admin efforts.
If many people did this, it would be like a DDoS.

I agree with you Jan. This is all theatrics and an attempt to destroy by false allegation. What did we expect? For these tyrants to fold and quietly submit? I can’t find any evidence anywhere of violence or even excessive noise. It’s all bogus but it sure does work to destroy the movement. Stand strong! Don’t worry about your lousy donation. Let the attorneys do their job and don’t fall for media lies. This is what they want.
