It's Time to Believe Your Lying Eyes

Vince is one the those guys I’m watching… Didn’t see his take on Arcadia today yet though…:+1:

Don’t wait too long. If the spot price drops a lot I think you’ll find that dealers either tell you they’re “out of stock” or their premiums will rise high enough to still make a profit even if they bought a little higher than that day’s spot. Either way, they won’t sell to you if it means losing money on the deal.

Besides, when the price gets to $200 or $600/oz you won’t care if you bought when spot was $48, or $58, or $98!

Agreed. Better yet just dollar cost average. Best investment I ever did!

You’re right!! I guess there’s also probably little bit of that"hunter"side of me that tries just get a good/better deal🙆…

I wouldn’t bet much money on something that starts with ‘God can’t do X’. Though yes, the powers that be do want a domesticated human, obedient to the State - communist manifesto and french revolution were pretty explicit about that.

That being said, I strongly suspect there will be more dogs than humans in Heaven or Valhalla or wherever. And the domesticated sheep will be found there too… so long as they hearken to the shepherd’s voice.

I mean, WTF?
Do we even produce the correct crude to run those?
I bet that Russian oil is good for it.
Or maybe even Venezuelan…

Keep plugging along, gain all the knowledge you can from various sources. While these tips are old I read them many years ago: the-moneychanger.com (Franklin’s 10 commandments for buying).
Heh, where the puck is going? You Canadian or live near the border (don’t answer that, I don’t need to know and it’s none of my business)? In Mexico the only ice we had was in our margaritas (it does snow a bit on the peaks in Central and S. America–glaciers even).
I would add to Franklin’s commandments:
While you do not want to buy at a premium, it doesn’t hurt to own some PMs FROM YOUR COUNTRY and the adjacent ones. Being born and mostly raised in the US I’ve over the years ensured I own Canadian, US and Mexico coinage. (Think globally, act locally).

There are many resources on PP and as you can probably already tell, Chris likes Ag. Ever since I can recall most said that Ag has the potential to blow past Au on a percentage basis (it’s just heavy and hard to hide). Find a good body of water, ensure you can navigate not only by GPS but by map, compass and landmarks. Fish frequently. There was a great site that has long disappeared: boatingaccidentnews

Thank you!! Will read article later:+1::slightly_smiling_face:

And at least get a few tools of the trade: A Gram scale, loupe and decent mm ruler (you can go further and deeper, but these tools are a good start). I keep some links to various sites that describe weights, purity and dimensions of coins and bars (RCM has some cool newer security features as well). I assume you watched the recent Dana Samuelson interview? While I’ll never be Dana nor have his background, we can strive to be Dana Jr’s and at least do our due diligence on the products we purchase: view in detail, weigh & measure our purchased products.

Another tool is a graduated cylinder. Displacement of water can be used to determine density if your balance is accurate.

My dealer described me a process how their vendors checking authenticity and purity and also how he’s doing it… If it’s true(and I have no way how to verify it…) it’s pretty deep and few times over… Most of my metal I check with him on Omega verifier… But I agree I should be more"hands on"… With tools like magnet, pin tool, I think silver seeker (or silver dragon or. . One of those guys! :person_gesturing_ok:) was talking about some cool tool that some kid designed to verified silver?, but as a great organizer :person_facepalming:, I didn’t save it or ordered it

Wow, Ag a high of $62 today and still holding above $61 & 1/2 as I type. Ya’ll have read the comments…dollar cost averaging, does it matter if you paid $48 or (now perhaps) $68 when it goes into the hundreds+, and keep some dry powder on hand (cash) for the dips.
To the moon, Alice, to the moon. I always loved the re-runs of the Honeymooners. And I always thought Alice (Audrey Meadows) was hot, and she certainly had great comebacks to Ralph’s rants (Jackie Gleason). Go ahead, watch The Honeymooner’s reruns again. We may not have much more time to laugh and play.

Edit: dry powder

lol I dont know how you connected entertainment to silver but would be healthier to detach nostalgia like that from finances. Very very difficult for us humans.

It’s called the pocket pinger, from Sound Money Metals. It’s available via Amazon. I’ve used it and the free companion app. I’m no expert on testing metals but it is based on sound resonance and from what I’ve been able to tell/test, it is very accurate.

Thank you… That’s it!! I know how it works but didn’t get a chance to get my hand on it.
I’m no expert either so now I’m gonna order it!
Thank you again :+1:

You didn’t quote my most important point: Silver is going to the Moon! Which brings up a few thoughts in my mind…

More recently (for many years), please take a quick gander at the Wall Street Silver group on Reddit. Their logo is a Gorilla and a spaceship; they’re always saying “silver to the moon”. Now, it appears the Wall Street Silver groupies are are generally younger than the average poster on this site, but that’s even better–the kids are getting to understand the paper silver shenanigans and are taking physical silver off the table. They’re frequently posting pics of their purchases and stacks (and some stacks, oh my goodness). I believe some just see $ signs in their eyes, but I believe for this PP group, it’s not about the Benjamins, but about a future and survival (deep subject, well discussed on PP).

Going back…Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason) on The Honeymooners was well, pretty much an APE! “One of these days Alice…”

Perhaps my subteties require more details (I don’t get out of our cabin area much, other than a once a month trip to the desert). A little snow and cold so the moose are back. How do you distinguish a moose track from an elk track? An adult moose track is pretty much the size of your hand.

If folks switch WSB moves to silver, that’s win… Russia and China moreso, along India already do that to their people, encourage to buy PMs.
WSB stock is tied to benjamins, which are fast going down the toilet.

Im a bit surprised gold price has stalled. Maybe other countries and rich folks there already have max gold stash. That’s tradition in some countries, so had likely filled it up in low price times.

Oh, just a ho-hum day. Glad my Feeder Cattle went up by almost 1%. Brent +1.4, Nat Gas +1.7, Palladium +1.5, Platinum + 3.3, Copper +.7 and Silver…+4.5 (please shake me).

Somewhere along the way I listened and the paper portfolio is coming along just fine with the boating accident stuff. My scuba gear is old, dusty, rusty and rotting in the shed. Guess I have a new gear goal for this spring. I do/did love diving.
