Of all the words that come to mind about the work you do, sloppy is not even remotely close! Thank you for all the effort you’ve put into all of this, it is truly impressive! Mistakes are bound to happen and considering the size and nature of the data being processed I would say likely.
A small note as I believe you’re still working on your next revision and I’m not sure if anyone noted this yet (very possible, sorry), but we’ve got a Sulerud cam photo for Shaffer here:
Here’s a few quick shots of Shaffer (still from Gianvito’s cam) in case you haven’t gotten to this yet:
I find that interesting, so then even as he was listed as the driver of said vehicle, he was not driving it over to the response site. I wonder how common it is for a ‘designated’ driver to not only not drive their assigned vehicle but to give up their vehicle completely. Plus the mysteriously elusive drivers Alyssa Mathews and Ray McDonald.
I forgot Kuss was right there with bodycam to show us this same area, was looking through Wittinger’s 117 footage, and comparing with some of Blasko’s too (but he’s all over the place)! Thank you! I’ll be looking back to see what/who I can help identify from this soon.
I like the way you phrased that. We have actual evidence of USSS CS units, some evidence of Nicol, Murcko, Woods activities at AGR, but where was Wagner in this E Grandstands position? Was he on a roof, surveying and providing CS duties? Also leads me to wonder of the positioning of the WRSWAT CS Ben Shaffer. Was he on a roof? Or were these other CS units also placed inside the buildings designated?
Blasko is introduced around 13:30 of the Congressional task force hearing, interestingly along with him being sniper team assistant leader, he is said to have been stationed with a Secret Service agent where the motorcar(motorcade?) would arrive. And I have to wonder who he was stationed with.
About 38:20 the question is directed to Blasko to describe the moments leading up to the shooting, to which he claims he was “at Brady Paul” and “working his way” towards the shooter, after which he claims to have parked beneath the water tower. And then we have his bodycam footage showing him approaching on foot to AGR, from the same direction of the water tower.
Working on finding out more about this. I’m not positive even still that North Hills and McKeesport have separate agencies for their SWAT/ESU?SRT teams, perhaps just a few separate localities within the county? I find articles in McKeesport where Allegheny County SWAT are called in. I can’t rule out that they are separate units, but I really don’t think I can confirm it either.
