I had the exact same thoughts. What would any of these ceiling tiles and paving stones reveal about anything, really? The proximate cause of Kirks murder … was it an errant paver or planter box? No, I think we are OK with this maintenance work.
A mic with a 2 gram shape charge is the only kinetic force that could create this image. You have the vapor cloud from the discharge and the massive distention of the left side of Charlie’s neck leading to the arterial blowout. A projectile was not required. A focused overpressure cone was just as effective without leaving an entrance wound. You need to look at the effects of focused shape charges on the body emitting the critical resonant frequency and wavelength to target deep/distal organs and tissues.

Why does it have to be a rifle? What about an exploding bullet?

Other related concepts are hollow-points or frangible rounds, which are designed to expand or break apart on impact — those work by geometry and material rather than by added explosives.
• Purpose/effects: increased fragmentation, greater local tissue destruction, or ignition of flammable materials. Those effects make such rounds particularly lethal and unpredictable.
You never know what might be found. The FBI knows better.

I know, but I don’t believe that weapon was used.
Without a bullet, there’s no reason to assume that’s the caliber. And I disagree that only a high caliber projectile could have caused the damage inflicted. We’re dealing with experts who had the time to plan this out using devices we’re not familiar with.
If there’s no proof of a 30.06, why assume it was a 30.06? Keep an open mind.

Latest theory I’ve seen and it’s a doozy. There looks to be good evidence that the shooting was actually a hologram projection. The tent was a perfect size for this. The unusual camera at the back is very similar to the very expensive hologram projectors. Part of a video shows a chair passing through another chair. At the moment he was supposedly shot there was seen a large gush of blood onto his teeshirt. Then moments later from a different camera the men picked up his body and there clearly was no blood on his shirt at all. He was not taken by paramedics but streetclothed men. Not taken to an ambulance but to an SUV. No autopsy that we know of. There was a man behind and to Kirk’s right wearing meta-glasses. He appears to clearly turn this on moments before the shooting. This is why I would like to know the details of the projectile. I have seen allegations that it was found.
When I saw the video of the incident, I was sure that it was not a .224" based on the width of the entrance. My first hypothesis would be a Winchester 270. The 30-06 and Winchester 270 both use the 30-03 as a parent case.

OK. I have read all the comments and believe Chris’ thesis has survived. It is in fact the best option thus far. So it needs to go to the next level and look for the shooter’s perch. A viable shooting position would cement the theory, OR tell us that its doesn’t quite work.
But the next level research will be difficult to do via internet info or Google earth. Especially if the internet is being/has been cleansed of needed data. Which would happen IF it is a state level actor. Which I am starting to believe is viable.
A state level actor does not mean a nation. It only means a small group with control and access to state resources. It likely has a group within the state, but not exclusively individuals within the state.
The other investigative path is Tyler Robinson. His story elements already do not fit together well. If his cover can be exposed then that would clearly indicate another agent as the shooter.
But patsies tend to live only a few weeks when under the “protection” of the state. I guess that is my first test of this thesis. If he lives the next year, then he is likely not a patsy, but may be the actual killer. But if some accident, suicide, or health emergency happens to end his life, I would then say that is a 90% patsy confirmation and confirmation that an entity able to reach into a state prison (state actor) killed Kirk.

By the way, if it was a state level actor. They are not going to be on an easy to see roof. They will have access to all buildings and all hidden spaces weeks in advance.

It’s the shockwave. Watch the ballistic gel video again. The gel reacts before the bullet penetrates. There are so many other reasons. Just watch the video and look at all the reasons Chris gave before dropping more nuggets in our punchbowl. If you wish to summarise and refute his reasons, go ahead, but “I didn’t listen to Chris, I listened to some other guy who said something else and he’s much better” won’t cut it here.

This theory is un debatable at the same level as debating Flat Earthers and faking the Moon Landing. You can sum them all up with these simple facts; If it was an exploding mic, there would be SOO much evidence left behind and SOO many people would have to be in on the cover up. But there IS no evidence of a mic explosion and there’s too many people involved to keep that secret from getting out.
This is such a ridiculous idea that, I won’t ever watch a video of someone trying to convince me otherwise!
