I havenât heard anyone discuss this information and find it very important to the situation. The information is that his security team had warned him and stated that he would be 100 % killed if he didnât step up his security, it was in the USA Today and the security team said they offered him a bulletproof glass that would go around the stage, I believe level 9 glass was offered and he denied it! That is the key point his negligence for his own safety! Itâs like the kid that doesnât wear his helmet when riding his bike in the street the parents warned him not to do such and the kid does it any ways and gets hurt whoâs to blame? Also to debunk the myth that speaking behind bullet proof glass creates a disconnect is false, how many people have made friends with gas station workers, bank employees, and visiting inmates? Most people can answer yes to one or all those, while speaking we connect with the voice the face and image is just complimentary. My point is his message couldâve still be received behind bulletproof glass. But this is going to turn out to be another butler incident that blames the lack of security and the truth withheld as far as any autopsy
Here is the article link you decide if itâs his own fault that he didnât take seriously the threats and his security which he could have afforded. Why did his previous security team quit? I answered it he didnât take his security seriously.

Video of possible muzzle flash start at 41 seconds. and seems to lines up with Chrisâs hypothesis of where the shot could have been taken.

What about the expansion of Charlieâs shoulders and back shown from the video that caused from the bullet you said cause the total expansion of his chest?
Possible problem with the bullet trajectory analysis. You ran the analysis assuming Charlie was sitting up straight. The footage ( especially at the 1:05:47 time point) shows him hunched over. That hunch appears to allow a bullet entering at a 10 degree angle to penetrate the body cavity and produce the requisite shock wave.

Thereâs no way a bullet entering his neck would travel through to the neck vertebrae given that slouch. It would go deeper into the body cavity.

Maybe Charlie was negligent or maybe he was brave. We canât be sure. But we can see by the security arrangements he chose NOT to take that he was lagging behind the actual threats against him. No security glass. No rooftop spotters or counter snipers. My concern is that so many average, every day people are also way âbehind the curveâ in assessing everyday risks and taking appropriate measures in what is the early stages of our Civil War 2.0.
Wake up people! Thereâs a storm coming, in fact the outer edges are already hitting us. Theyâre actually shooting at us. Not only are we not shooting back, weâre in denial about how bad things have gotten. Five or ten years ago, how many of us wouldâve thought that a guy who goes from campus to campus debating students on the issues of the day would be so hated and targeted that heâd literally need bulletproof glass and counter sniper teams?!?! Almost nobody. So what are you in denial about today?

You are incorrect. There is a distinct change in pitch between when the bullet arrives and starts moving away from you. You hear the âangry beeâ sound if the bullet gets close to you.
I strongly suspect you are using AI in your response. If you can do so safely, I highly recommend figuring out a way to hear this noise with your own ears.

In the video, you talk about the muscle and bones in Charlieâs neck⌠you talk about the neck a lot. But if the slouch shown in the screenshot from your video is the impact slouch, the bullet would have to be travelling upward to go through his neck.
The âdeflection down into the chest and out the bottomâ bullet path seems most parsimonious to me.
I saw a video that said that the bullet hit the top edge of body armor near collar bone and richochet went up into neck.
I never saw weird stuff when shooting blocks of gel but I have seen some odd things happen when shooting the ballistics gel heads that âbleedâ.
I was living in Ohio at the time and went to the range to shoot a RRA NMA2 and a Yugo SKS with hand loaded 7.62x39 loaded with 123 grain 0.310" SST bullets (hunting bullets). I saw an odd target similar to this on the 100 yard range. I had no idea at the time where it came from or who put it out there.
It did not look like it had been hit very much at all prior to my arrival. I was surprised by the behavior of the 123 grain SSTs. They did some odd things such as rapidly changing directions in the target. I never gave it much thought until recently. I now wonder if differences in density of the gel âtargetâ can greatly change the direction of bullets as they pass through a medium.
I later found out that the target was placed there by a coworker that was on a different shift at the power plant.
I would love to perform an experiment of shooting a block of ballistics gel with embedded pockets of air with a high powered rifle. I want to see if the unexpected behavior of a bullet can be reproduced. This is why I wish we knew more details about the cartridges used.
